Compensation & benefits
Up to $30/hour while you prepare for certification
Clinical Assistants earn up to $30/hour while continuing to gain hands-on clinical experience and prepare for the BCBA or BCaBA exam.
What you'll do
- Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision
- Support and coach Behavior Technicians
- Collect, graph, analyze, and interpret clinical data
- Assist with assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments
- Write clinical notes, progress summaries, transition summaries, and other documentation
- Assist with developing and monitoring skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction programs
- Participate in family training, case openings, and interdisciplinary planning
- Support training, staff development, and treatment integrity
What we're looking for
- Completed all required fieldwork hours with verified documentation
- Submitted an application to test with the BACB, or have the documentation needed to do so
- Completed or are enrolled in the final course of an approved ABA program
- Ready to continue developing advanced clinical skills under BCBA supervision
- Committed to preparing for the BCBA or BCaBA exam and transitioning into a clinician role

The Clinical Assistant role gives you an opportunity to remain immersed in clinical practice while preparing for the BACB exam. You’ll continue working under BCBA supervision while taking on responsibilities that more closely reflect the work of a future clinician.
What the role looks like
A mix of direct care + clinical development
Clinical Assistants continue working directly with clients while also receiving dedicated time for clinical responsibilities and development. Depending on center and client needs, the role may include approximately 10–20 hours per week of direct BT coverage, with additional time dedicated to non-billable clinical activities.

Where you’ll grow
Assessment & analysis
Gain experience with observation, IOA, ABC data, assessments, FBAs, and data interpretation.
Treatment programming
Assist with writing, implementing, and monitoring behavior-reduction and skill-acquisition programs.
Clinical documentation
Develop experience with notes, progress summaries, transition summaries, plans, and payer-related reporting.
Technician leadership
Coach technicians, model interventions, review session notes, and provide constructive feedback.
Family & interdisciplinary collaboration
Participate in family training, planning meetings, and collaboration with other professionals.
Clinical operations
Build exposure to authorizations, insurance requirements, EMR systems, scheduling, and other operational pieces of clinical practice.
