Clinical leadership at Mercy Plus
Lead the clinical standard while staying connected to the work.
Clinical Directors at Mercy Plus are not removed from day-to-day clinical care. You’ll maintain your own clinical responsibilities while helping support the quality, development, and performance of the broader center team.
Your role is to help clinicians succeed, identify concerns early, strengthen treatment integrity, and create an environment where both accountability and clinical support are built into the way the center operates.
Clinical Directors generally maintain a reduced billable expectation compared with a full-time BCBA so they have dedicated time for leadership, mentoring, training, and center-level clinical responsibilities.
How we approach clinical leadership
Support the clinician. Strengthen the system.
Strong clinical leadership is about more than overseeing treatment plans.
At Mercy Plus, Clinical Directors help create the environment clinicians need to do their best work. That means providing mentorship and feedback, identifying clinical barriers, developing technicians, collaborating with operations, and maintaining clear expectations around quality and accountability.
As Mercy Plus continues moving toward a more outcomes-based clinical model, our clinical leaders play an important role in that transition.
We’re building toward a model where clinicians are evaluated by the quality of their work, successful caseload management, supervision, documentation, client outcomes, and overall performance — not simply by whether they are physically present in a center for 40 hours each week.
Clinical leaders help create the support and accountability systems that make greater clinician autonomy possible.
Grow your leadership scope
Build your impact beyond one center.
Clinical Director is an important leadership role at Mercy Plus and can also create a pathway to broader clinical leadership opportunities over time.
Experienced Clinical Directors may have opportunities to move into a Regional Clinical Director role, where they continue carrying a smaller clinical caseload while expanding their leadership across multiple Mercy Plus centers.
Regional Clinical Directors support Clinical Directors and clinicians, help strengthen clinical consistency across locations, and provide a broader layer of mentorship, problem-solving, and clinical oversight while remaining connected to direct clinical practice.
BCBA → Clinical Director → Regional Clinical Director
That progression reflects increasing leadership scope — from managing your own caseload, to leading clinical quality within a center, to supporting clinicians and centers across a region.

Your impact goes beyond your own caseload.
