At Mercy Plus, BCaBAs work under the supervision of an experienced BCBA to assess, program for, and support children at our Michigan autism centers. You’ll take on real clinical responsibility, supervise and develop Behavior Technicians, and partner with families — with a clear path toward BCBA certification if you choose to pursue it.

What you'll do
- Assist with behavioral assessments and the development of individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision
- Implement and adjust programming based on client progress data
- Supervise, train, and support Behavior Technicians
- Provide parent and caregiver training
- Complete clinical documentation
- Collaborate with your supervising BCBA, families, and the care team
What we're looking for
- Active BCaBA certification in good standing
- Bachelor’s degree
- Michigan Assistant Behavior Analyst license, or ability to obtain
- Ability to practice under ongoing BCBA supervision, as required by the BACB
- Commitment to individualized, compassionate care
BCaBA or BCBA?
How the BCaBA role differs
BCaBAs and BCBAs share much of the same clinical work. The differences are in credentials and scope: a BCaBA holds a bachelor’s degree rather than a master’s, practices under the supervision of a BCBA, and works with clients whose coverage allows services from a BCaBA.
If you hold BCBA certification, the BCBA role is the right fit.
How we approach ABA
Individualized care, not one-size-fits-all ABA
Our clinical approach is based on the needs of each client. We prioritize assent-based and natural-environment teaching when appropriate, while incorporating more structured teaching strategies when they support the individual learner. Our centers are child-based rather than built around rigid block scheduling.
Clinical support & development
Each center has operational support through an Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager. Clinically, you’ll be supported by your supervising BCBA, Regional Clinical Directors, and collaboration with clinicians across Mercy Plus locations.
